i agree with tukker, every nation has its share of good and bad people, if r@$i$m is faced, why not talk about caste system in india.

I used to live in Leisceter in UK and I have exactly experienced what you have mentioned. Desis is what all were called, but behaved like one as well.

I agree 100% with what you have said. I have stayed in South Africa for over 5 years and have seen my colleagues bitch and moan exactly the same while staying and earning in SA.

i think people dont have to feel “that” way it is common to find some differenciation to a different person. think of all those differenciations show back in our country between right from north and south indians again in north, delhi and biharis, in south between telugu, tamils

imagine a brit or american lives in your neighborhood, certainly there will be certain bit of differenciation

however it is fine if it doesn’t get into r*ci$t overtones

Desis is what such behaviour gets us tagged.

I was a student in UK and I was fed up living with my fellow mates where pence were being counted.

I am certain, everyone has their problems, but I know these mates were from good backgrounds.

The moment they landed they were different pessimistic, whiny and stingy!

I am glad to be back.

But I must say I loved the place.

I have often heard my friends who live abroad whining about this. They have multiple times told me that they are shown differenciation.

What you have written makes it sound the other way round. May be it is the other side of the coin that I did not know.

I tryuly hope that the day would definitely come where every person react in the same way as you did saying “I really have not seen or met anybody like that” and also hope that my article would not make any sense at all. But, alas…There are few.
I am happy for you and all of us, the Indians, that atleast you are in a neighbourhood where if people are Indians they are behaving as one.
