This article was written a couple of days ago. Due to some technical difficulties, this could not be published earlier. The latest news surrounding the death of Hemant Karkare takes away the relevance of the articles. However, worth still a read, me thinks. Enjoy!

It is the story that has caught the nation by storm. On one hand you have the Union Minister for Minority Affairs and a former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, A R Ant-u-lay who seemed to open his mouth at a time when the whole country is going through the post terrorism crisis and on the other hand, there is another so called self made icon of the Marathi Manoos, Balasaheb (a.k.a. Uncle) led Shiva Sena who wants to press it hard….as hard as he can so that the affairs (however minor that is) come to an Ant.

Jokes apart, Uncle Bala and his son Udhav can do away with their “no-one-cares” remarks. Why do they need to raise their voice for every thing that is said and heard. First of all, they can’t take care of their people when in crisis, and now they come forward to shout at the top of their voice as if our Mr.Ant is the only one who has made controversial statements.

Did you forget about your nephew Raj Thackeray and his escapades?

High time The Thackerays kept a low profile and not pressed hard for every thing that is said and heard. Sometimes it may be worth doing so.

Should Antulay have spoken the way he has? Should he not have given considerations how people would react especially the police fraternity who gave many a lives to save the city of Mumbai from falling down?

Of course, he could have watched his mouth. Instead of guess-working in the media about his wild Sherlock Holmes like detectivities, he would not have been lynched by these senseless morons if he were a bit cautious in your approach. He needs to take a lesson or two in public speaking. Yes Minister!!!

Speaking of Aam Aadmi, we are still at a loss why did Hemant Karkare lose his life ? May be he was a victim of terror. May be he was pinned down by his detractors. May be there was a hidden agenda – who knows ?? Government ought to probe some of these incidents de facto

If Antulay has spoken, he has done so on behalf of the public. There is widespread anger the way government has been conducting its business and the way senior police officials have been made scapegoats. Else, explain why Senior Mumbai Police Officials, Roy & Gafoor got transferred despite them being very actively involved in the rescue effort ?

May be it’s time for sweeping the “Home” once again – Mr. Home Minister, are you listening?

Who said Bal Thackeray and Raj Thackeray have nothing in common ? I can list a hundred things that they have in common starting from their surname to their party name etc.

Of late, what has impressed me most is their melting pot of ignorance.

Raj Thackeray on one hand continues to be stubborn. His ire against North Indians is very visible, while his senior mentor and uncle a.k.a. Bala “Saheb” Thackeray and his bunch of sycophants continue to rock Mumbai with their sheer ignorance.

In the latest twist to the Mumbai Terror attacks, the Shiv Sena expressed its support to the terrorists by ransacking lawyers who have expressed or will express their desire to provide legal help to Ajmal Kasab, the lone survivor amongst the butchers so that a trial is initiated and Kasab is punished

But our political guru wanted it the other way. They want Kasab to walk scot-free. Why else do you think they will ransack Mukesh Deshmukh’s office and house ?

They knew very well that as per the constitution of this country, every criminal is entitled to a  lawyer and if you do not allow a defense lawyer, the case can be made null and void. This means that there would be either inordinate delay or the credibility of the case will be undermined.

This is exactly the terrorist wants.

Since he is in prison, it will be difficult for Kasab to commit suicide – May be he doesn’t have that kind of heart too. If he steps outside, he will be lynched by the mob or another set of people gunning for his life.

So what’s the answer ?

Ask Shiva Sena. They have the answer. According to their theory – No lawyer no case. No case, no conviction. No conviction, Kasab walks scot free.

Anybody’s guess what happens if Kasab walks scot free -North Indians beware !

Thackeray & Thackeray – You better learn about these tactics. If you still have not understood, this in political parlance is called PSYWAR or in other words “Psychological Warfare”

Let me give you the definition,

Psychological Warfare is the planned use of propaganda and other psychological actions having the primary purpose of influencing the opinions, emotions, attitudes, and behavior of hostile foreign groups in such a way as to support the achievement of national objectives

Now don’t tell me you didn’t know about these tactics, Shiv Sena !…

Last 55 hours India has faced its worst ever crisis. 15-20 terrorists took Mumbai under siege. As many as 150 people killed including several High Profile Cops, Army Jawans, The Taj burning, gunfires, grenades, AK 47s, and god knows what not.

Mumbai is burning. India is angry. Pakistan seems to have a hand.

One man who had spoken for the Marathi Manoos and lampooned North & South Indians left, right and center seems to have hidden behind the curtains. No one heard his voice. He seems to have chickened out.

It needed the strong brave army of National Security Guards consisting of mainly North & South Indians to save his Marathi Manoos.

Raj Thackeray – Today, your head should bow in shame. So much for your regional jingoism !

What have you done for the Marathi Manoos ? Attended them at the hospital with a few hundred cameramen around you so that the whole world could see your drama, your crocodile tears ?

Where were you  when there was fierce gun battle in front of The Oberoi, The Taj and The Nariman House ?

Your party is called Maharashtra NavNirman Sena. And I thought Sena means Army – No ? The name “Sena” is a shame for you and your partyworkers.

What NavNirman are you talking about ? NavNirman means Rebuilding. We don’t want people like you to rebuild once it is fallen. We want people like Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kamte, Vijay Kalaskar who would lay down their lives and not let the morale of the Marathi Manoos fall.

We want leaders with a vision. Not one who would pitch against each other for every petty thing.

Go learn something from the Army, from the Jawans, from the guards who laid down their lives for Mumbai. They didn’t talk of South India or North India. They talked as if they belonged to one nation – India – Their India.

Raj, it is high time that you gave up your utopian concept of a Marathi boundary filled with Marathi Manoos. We are Indians first.

For heaven’s sake – Stop Your Regional Jingoism !

Name is “Nav Nirman” but they don’t do anything constructive and only indulge in destructive activities. MNS activists’ dadagiri on RRB applicants from Bihar is highly condemnable. Raj Thakerays followers in the past have targeted poor migrant labor and hit their stomach and now they targeted innocent unemployed youth. Whole nation condemned these attacks and in parliament too there were hot discussions.

Maharashtra government finally took action on Raj and his followers. Raj dared Desmukh to take action against him and Mr. Chief Minister showed that he has guts. Regionalism should he condemned in all its forms. Not showing resentment to Lalu’s favor to Biharis in Railway recruitment is also equally condemnable.

Raj’s parent party Shiv Sena was born with “Bhumiputra” slogan and graduated to a party which is against minorities and from there became an extreme national party. Old habits die hard – Raj is repeating Bal Thakeray’s early days tactics. To progress politically you don’t have to shed basic human values and become a beast in society. How do you explain an innocent student from Bihar chased and beaten to death? Just for the reason of coming to Mumbai to give an exam?

Right from 2003 Raj Thakeray is acting according to a plan. After being denied the president ship of Shivsena and the chance to become successor of Bal Thakery, he started Nav nirman sena, took Shiv Senas principles and even sharpened them before implementing. If Uddhav raised the slogan of ‘Mumbaikar’, Raj went ahead and started targeting all non Mumbaiates. Targeting Taxi Drivers, controversies on Chat Puja, enforcing all shops to write name boards in Marathi, harassing Bacchans etc..

This is the agenda of Nav Nirman Sena.

Though High court has admonished the Congress-NCP government for not containing Raj Thakeray, the government till couple of days back was happy being a spectator to the Raj Show.

Vilas Rao has his own Agenda.

With the elections not so far and a possibility of a hung assembly, he needs support of Nav Nirman Sena. Even UPA govt which reacted seriously on Karnataka and Orissa Govt’s for attacks on Christians kept quiet all these months and finally had to give in to the pressure of the nation.

When narrow-minded politics are preventing people from enjoying the basic rights of right to live, work and travel in a sovereign country, what are these courts and Governments for?

I believe that Raj should not be let off so easily and should be taken from court to court where he has cases pending on him and damages done to the public property should be collected from MNS activists. What crime have the city buses and Autos in Mumbai committed? Have they not transported the kith and kin of the demonstrators to their destinations? I really don’t understand the stupidity of MNS activists and at times feel pity for them.
