They also have a whole range of Architectural products under the brand name “Vista” and Fashion Accessories under the brand name “Le-Pashmina”. This company was established in the year 1962

Quarterly Results

The overall income for Mar’08 stood at Rs.195 crore, an increase of 68% from Mar’07 and an increase of 15% from Dec’07. Although there is an increase in Sales and Gross Profit, the company made some operational loss this quarter. This is largely due to some extraordinary expansion that the company has seen in the last one year whose results are expected in the next couple of years or so.

Verdict

Strong Buy – Once operationally Alps is stabilized one can expect a surge in the stock price. This stock touched 90’s in early Jan and is around 25 now, that is a 72% thrashing from its peak.(Yesterday it jumped some 9%).

There could not be a better time than now. Keep buying this stock on every opportunity. Long term target (2-3 years) for this stock is 125.
