Emerging Technolgies need to be used for human's benefit in a good sake. But what happens is after some initial 2 to 3 years they will be hitlisted by the criminal and terrorists mind who make them as a media for achieving their target foe e.g. Orkut. Orkut was intended for interacting friends who were split after their college days or those who have lost their relatives and others in a long way. But what about it's current use. They are now also the place where sexual workers can find their parties and terrorists can spread their messages world wide. Let's hope that it will not happen for second life. But may I ask the owners one question? What's the benefit of the buyers out there in virtual world who buys clothes from a fashion designers for which they have to pay real money. Whether it can be made use in their real world . Then what is its use ? Only profit for owners

Hey Sagar, Thanks :-)

Hi Raman,

Giving out your email id when signing up is not a problem, it is a trusted site and will not reveal your real identity. In fact disclosing your identity in Second Life is a violation of their code of conduct.

SOunds interesting. I had never heard of it before though.
I almost went in and signed up, but then on second thoughts, I backed out.
Reason...I did not want to reveal my real email id. So, now I will first create a second mail id and then get on with the second life.
After knowing all this, maybe one would conclude, Ignorance is 'really' bliss.

Good intro Prasanth.

As you always did , you are pretty good at understanding new concepts.

Especially, you were much ahead of me in experimenting and using stuff like torrent, orkut.
